Claymaker's cutter maker traces your drawing, logo, or motif into a sharp, 3D-printable polymer clay cutter. The outline becomes a blade under a millimetre thick, interior lines press detail into the clay, and you preview the whole tool in 3D in your browser before downloading a print-ready STL. We never store, share, or train on your artwork.
What image works best for a clay cutter?
Bold, high-contrast artwork with a clean silhouette. SVG files import as exact outlines, so fine detail stays faithful, and they are the reliable choice when detail lines touch the outer outline, because tracing a PNG merges those touching lines into the outline. Claymaker warns you before export if a design may not print cleanly.
Can I imprint detail as well as cut the shape?
Yes. With interior details turned on, everything inside the outline presses into the clay, so one press both cuts the shape and stamps its detail. You can choose deboss (pressed in) or emboss (raised), and tap any interior feature to cut it all the way through instead.
How big can I make the cutter?
You set the size in millimetres, either uniformly or with independent width and height. The size is the finished clay piece: the walls are added outside it, so the shape cuts at exactly the dimension you choose. Presets for common cutter sizes are built in.
How do I print a clay cutter?
Any FDM 3D printer works. Print with the base flat on the bed, no supports needed. PLA and PETG both work well for clay. The sharp blade profile is tuned to print reliably on a standard 0.4mm nozzle.
Can I sell the cutters and the clay pieces I make?
Yes. The designs you create, the cutters you print, and the clay pieces you make with them are all yours. Claymaker claims no ownership over your tools or STL files, and there are no per-item fees or royalties.
