How is a micro cutter different from a regular clay cutter?
A micro cutter is small, roughly 5 to 15mm across, and cuts its outline only, with no interior detail. It sits on a hollow pinch handle sized for fine work like earrings, rather than the flat base of a full-size cutter.
What image works best for a micro cutter?
One bold, simple silhouette. At 5 to 10mm fine detail disappears, so a clean shape reads best. A micro cutter ignores anything inside the outline, and SVG files import as exact outlines rather than being traced.
How small can it go?
Down to earring and confetti scale. The blade profile is tuned to slice cleanly at small sizes and still print reliably on a standard 0.4mm nozzle.
How do I print and use a micro cutter?
Print it standing up, blade at the top, with a brim and no supports. The handle is hollow all the way through, so repeated cuts clear themselves as each new piece pushes the last one out the back.
