Texture roller maker
Turn patterns into texture rollers
The texture roller maker wraps your image seamlessly around a printable roller for polymer clay. It reads the image as a height map, light areas stand out and dark areas press in, and repeats it around the roller with no visible seam. Tune the depth and spacing, preview it in 3D in your browser, and export a print-ready STL. We never store, share, or train on your artwork.
What image works best for a texture roller?
Bold, evenly toned artwork. The image is read as a height map: light stands out, dark presses in, and grays become in-between depths, so shading rolls out as soft relief. Tileable artwork wraps edge to edge, and a standalone shape can be spaced out into a repeat.
Will the texture have a visible seam?
No. Claymaker nudges the pattern size to the nearest size that wraps around the roller a whole number of times, so the texture repeats seamlessly around the circumference with no seam line.
How do I set the roller size?
You set the outer diameter, the length, and the bore (the hole through the middle). Match the bore to the dowel or pen you will use as a handle. The pattern size is set separately and snapped to a seamless wrap.
How do I print a texture roller?
Print it standing on end, no supports needed. That orientation gives the cleanest texture. PLA and PETG both work well.
Can I sell what I make with it?
Yes. The roller you print and the textured clay pieces you make are yours to sell, with no fees or royalties.
